Cola, purple berries. Sweet violets, boysenberry rounded with cream. Bright and friendly. Palate is juicy upfront then settles into a crunchy, feisty glass. Herb and balsamic notes. All the spunk of Syrah but delivered with a gentle touch. "Crunchy Roastie" is Stolpman's ode to Northern Rhône Syrah, developed by the family over time by altering their winemaking techniques to pull back on cellar interventions and leveraging a lightweight approach, picking the Syrah earlier and using Carbonic fermentation. In addition, to pull more aromatics and bright fruit, 5% of Viognier is co-fermented to give the Syrah a softening edge.
